The Day of the Triathlon...

An early start to an exciting day...

Sara still finds time to enjoy the sunrise.

Almost as amazing as our sunsets...but too early to fully take it all in and appreciate it.

Some of the Team in Training Crew.

Getting nervous before the race... I am talking about me as the couch coach and documentarian. Sara is ready to go.

Sara's age group on the line. Second one from right furthest forward is Sara... inching out to getting her ankles used to the water temp (warm).

And off they go...

Over a mile swim. Sara did fantastic here. We had really only practiced in pools, so this was a lot different. I told her to think of alligators nipping at her toes to keep her motivated and swimming fast.

Into the changing stages to start the cycling portion.

Salli showing support for our favorite triathlete.

Coming down the path, Sara finds the cameraman and shows her enthusiasm. Notice, she leads the pack.

...And the grueling 10k kicks in. The humidity was at 95%, which is incredibly unpleasant for all you west-siders.

Coming into sight of the finish line with an awesome time, right before the clouds let loose a horrendous thunder storm...

Still smiling... Do it again next year?

Sarah-
AWESOME. That's quite a smile for all of the work you've just done. I'm sure mine wouldn't be so big. We sure do miss you guys. Savannah is looking great also. Hope to see you in December.

It is never a bad day on the scoots. Perhaps the best way to see the island, especially since Ding Darling opened it's doors to scooter ...
